ABOUT ME
Hello there dear humans, My name is Sierra, and I am but a humble servant of our community in the birthworking sphere!
As a twice-certified yoga teacher, a women's health advocate, and an artist, I've learned to embrace life's delicate balance between power, gentleness, and surrendering to the process. I am deeply passionate about supporting you with methods that are evidence-based, as well as catering to the more intuitive nature of birth. My approach is both medically informed and grounded in a profound understanding of the human body's incredible capabilities.
My journey with health challenges has taught me the importance of being open-minded and well-educated, embracing the best of modern science while honoring the intuitive aspects of a woman’s body. My purpose is to create a safe and nurturing container where you can flourish and confidently yield to what’s to come.
My Philosophy
I wish to support maternal and infant wellness by shifting the mindset through the perinatal period. I believe in holistic wellness, but not without evidence, so I draw from research that demonstrates the positive impact of doula support on healthy birth outcomes.
The way I believe to achieve this goal is through consistently applying four cornerstones: access, connection, knowledge, and empowerment. These are the four tenets of Jennie Joseph’s CommonSense School of Midwifery. The JJ Way® provides 100% access by turning no one away from care.
